Dr. Robert Pierce is a physician–scientist with deep expertise in cancer immunology and translational biomarker development. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer (consulting) at Attivare Therapeutics and previously as the company’s Chief Scientific Officer, advancing an immunostimulatory scaffold platform designed to reprogram anti-cancer immunity.
He has led major immuno-oncology R&D programs at Sensei Biotherapeutics, OncoSec Medical, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Merck, contributing to innovations such as the PD-L1 IHC companion diagnostic for pembrolizumab. Author of more than 170 peer reviewed publications with over 20,000 citations, Dr. Pierce earned his M.D. from Brown University and B.A. from Yale University.
