Yatiri Bio Inc. is pleased to announce that Professor John Yates from The Scripps Research Institute has joined Yatiri Bio as an advisory board member.  Professor Yates is a pioneer in the field of proteomics and his expertise in the areas of bioinformatics and software development, methods development and biological applications has been vital to Yatiri Bio’s IP development.

Professor Yates is an American chemist and Ernest W. Hahn Professor in the Departments of Molecular Medicine and Neurobiology at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, and one of the forefathers of global proteomics.  His work, which has been cited >175,000 times, focuses on the development and application of mass spectrometry-based proteomics techniques to address a wide range of biological questions and he has over 700 publications in peer reviewed journals. The Yates’ lab has made many important contributions in proteomics and helped develop the SEQUEST algorithm for automated peptide sequencing, Multidimensional Protein Identification Technology (MudPIT), and data independent analysis (DIA).
