Yatiri Bio Inc. is pleased to announce that Professor Jennifer Van Eyk has joined Yatiri Bio as an advisory board member.  Professor Van Eyk is a renowned international scientist in the field of clinical proteomics and serves as the Erika Glazer Chair in Women’s Heart Health, the Director of Advanced Clinical Biosystems Institute in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, the Director of Basic Science Research in the Women’s Heart Center, and as a Professor in Medicine and in Biomedical Sciences at Cedars-Sinai.  Her research focuses on deciphering the molecular pathways behind a variety of cardiovascular disorders using proteomics. Professor Van Eyk supports Yatiri Bio’s proteomics efforts as it relates to the development of clinically relevant biomarkers.  

   Professor Van Eyk research focuses on clinical proteomics, specifically the study of the structure and function of proteins within the body as it pertains to the understanding of how disease alters proteins in women with heart disease.  In 2024, Professor Van Eyk was honored by two national organizations for her excellence and leadership in the field of biomedicine: the United States Human Proteome Organization (US HUPO) and Northeastern University’s Barnett Institute.  For more information on Professor Van Eyk and her lab, please see https://www.cedars-sinai.edu/health-sciences-university/research/labs/van-eyk.html.
